So what am I ranting and raving about? It's Google SMS - for details, click on the title of this entry. Basically, you text Google (i.e. 466453, which spells GOOGLE) an inquiry and you get an instant message back with the results. For example, you can text them "Starbucks M2H 2H2" and it'll send you the address and phone number of all the Starbucks nearest to that postal code. Other lookups that I like are:
- weather
- sport scores
- maps and/or directions
- flight statuses
- language translations
- currency converter
- calculator (which can do unit conversions such as lb->kg too!)
It's like 411 on steroids! Speaking of 411, who needs it now that you can get the same information from Google SMS! And unlike 411, this service is FREE - Google does not charge for this service, but do make sure that you have a text messaging plan from your carrier.
Okay, enough of that...I have some text messages to send!

Yeah, GOOG-411 is really cool. It's about time they brought it up here to Canada. Of course, you can also look up stuff on your new fancy, schmancy location-aware iPhone too!
